Questions

Buying and building, answered

Short answers to the questions we hear most. Anything else, call 850-482-4141 or send us a message.

What does the complete kit include?

Everything you need — nothing else to buy. The engine, powder-coated frame, rotor head and blades, transmission, clutch, tail rotor, governor, electric trim, instruments, lighting, seats, skids, fuel tanks and ground handling wheels are all in the kit.

How long does a Safari take to build?

A typical Safari 400 build is about 500 hours. The work is mostly assembly, with a little bit of fabrication thrown in so you will feel like you really did something.

Do I need to weld?

No. The 4130 chromoly frame arrives fully welded and powder-coated. Assembly can be done with basic hand tools.

Can I spread the cost?

Yes. Both the 400 and the 500 can be bought as a kit in stages, so you buy and build in phases.

What is Builder's Assist?

You build your Safari alongside factory technicians. Contact us for scheduling and pricing.

Can I buy a Safari already built?

The Safari 500 is available flight-ready — factory-completed and built to your specifications, from $195,100. Pricing is subject to confirmation with the factory.
